The Benefit of Affiliate Marketing
The benefits of affiliate marketing is more pronounced today than before. This is one of the main reason for the immense popularity of affiliate marketing programs among so many thousands of internet marketers that want to get marketing fee.Latest web technology has enabled the affiliate marketers to get their statistics and income figures the moment they make an affiliate sale. It is now possible to use companies like PayPal for payment and receipt processing. This has highly curtailed the time that an affiliate marketer needs to wait for his marketing fee to be collected from the merchants. Both the affiliates and the merchants have now realised that affiliate marketing is effective for both of them. The merchants perceive affiliate marketing as an opportunity to advertise their products at a much lesser cost. On the other hand, the affiliates see affiliate marketing as a uncomplicated way of earning profits online by doing something which they like most, and that is web publishing to get marketing fee.Just as the popularity of affiliate marketing has gone into overdrive, similarly the outlook of people has changed for the better about affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is no longer considered as a secondary method of marketing by the merchants, or as an additional income source by an affiliate marketer. For merchants and affiliates alike, affiliate marketing is now considered as a main source of profits and revenues or marketing fee.We now need to analyze what type of affiliate marketing will work best for any person? Are there any differences in affiliate marketing programs? Are the marketing fee from these programs the same? Which are those affiliate marketing programs that work better than the others? There are actually varieties of affiliate marketing, and the types will depend on how you are going to classify them. The primary classification of affiliate marketing programs falls under two categories: pay-per-click (PPC), and pay-per-performance (PPP). From there you will get marketing fee.1. Pay Per Click (PPC) - PPC is the most popular type of affiliate marketing for affiliates with small websites, and probably the easiest way for them to earn money. In this affiliate marketing type, the merchant pays his affiliate whenever a visitor is referred to his site, that is whenever someone clicks through the merchant's banner or text ads. The affiliate gets paid a certain amount even if the visitor he referred does not purchase anything from the merchant's site. However, typical fees for PPC affiliate programs are small, usually not exceeding a dollar for every click. You get marketing fee if the ads on your web is clicked by other reader.2. Pay Per Performance (PPP) - PPP affiliate marketing is well liked among merchants and is also the most rewarding type for the affiliates. In this type of affiliate program, the merchant pays the affiliate only when his referral converts into an action - that is whenever the visitor he has referred actually buys something from the merchant's site or when the visitor becomes a lead. This means that the merchant saves a lot on his own direct marketing efforts. On the other hand, this type of affiliate marketing becomes financially most rewarding for the dedicated affiliate, for commissions in PPP affiliate marketing usually comes in the range of 15% to 20% of the actual product sales. And, in the case of e-products or e-goods, the affiliate commission can go as high as 70 - 75% of the sale price.Pay-per-performance affiliate marketing can further be classified into two types: pay-per-sales (PPS) and pay-per-lead (PPL). Both these are highly popular. You wil get marketing fee if people that open the ads from your web and become a buyer or become a lead.
a) Pay Per Sale (PPS) - In a pay-per-sale type of affiliate marketing, the merchants pay the affiliate a certain fee whenever the visitor he has referred to the merchant's site actually buys something from the merchant's site. Affiliates are often paid on marketing fee, although other merchants would opt to pay a fixed fee. But no matter what the basis of the fee is, it is generally higher than the fee paid to affiliates in a pay-per-click affiliate program.
b) Pay Per Lead (PPL) - The pay-per-lead type of affiliate marketing is a slight variation of the PPS type and is often used by insurance and finance companies and other companies who rely on leads for their company to grow. In this type of affiliate marketing, the affiliate is paid whenever the visitor he referred to the merchant's site fills up an application form or any similar form related to the business of the company. Marketing fee for this type of affiliate marketing is based on a fixed fee whose rates approximate that of the fixed fee in the PPS type. Generally, the sales conversion rate is the highest in the case of PPL, because, the visitor is not required to purchase anything but only complete a non-financial transaction, like, filling up an application form, subscribing to a newsletter, etc.Aside from these three specific types of affiliate marketing, a lot of other affiliate marketing types exist. If the classification is based on the depth of the affiliate network, it can be classified as single-tier, two-tier, and multi-tier affiliate marketing. There is also another type of affiliate marketing that pays the affiliate each time the customer he has referred purchases something or marketing fee from the merchant's site.Single-Tier, Two-Tier, and Multi-Tier Affiliate Marketing to get marketing feeThese types of affiliate marketing are based on the different levels or tiers in the affiliate network by which payments or marketing fee are made.A) Single Tier - In a single-tier affiliate marketing program, the affiliates are only paid / marketing fee based on the direct sales or traffic he has referred to the merchant. All the previously mentioned affiliate marketing types (i.e. PPS, PPL, and PPC) fall under the single-tier classification.B) Two Tier - In two-tier affiliate marketing programs, the affiliates are not only paid / marketing fee for the direct traffic or sales that he brings to the merchant's site, but also on every traffic or sales referred by other affiliates who joined as sub-affiliate of the above affiliate marketer.C) Multi Tier - Multi-tier affiliate marketing works the same way, although the affiliate gets additional commission / marketing fee for more number of levels of affiliates in different tiers in the affiliate network.D) Residual Income Affiliate Marketing - In this type, apart from the affiliate getting paid for every customer he has referred to the merchant's site, the affiliate is also paid whenever the customer he has referred goes back to the merchant's site and purchases another product. Commission / marketing fee for such type of affiliate marketing is based on either percentage of sales or based on fixed fee.Every affiliate marketer finds that these different affiliate marketing methods work differently for each of them. For instance, multi tier affiliate marketing, also called Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) is a highly difficult type of internet marketing and it does not work for everyone to get marketing fee. As a matter of fact, many legitimate marketers consider MLM as illegal or something which is undesirable. An affiliate marketer has to try out different methods and decide which will work best for him or her. He/she should then concentrate on those affiliate marketing methods which are suitable for his/her style of internet marketing business to get marketing fee.

Building a Highly-targeted
Are you successful with your Internet business? Better yet, do you think you are successful with your online business? When most online entrepreneurs are asked with these questions, they often brush it off. This is because most of them, who have not yet realize the right way to succeed in Internet Marketing, continue to believe that the mere fact that they have a website is already enough to succeed on the Internet.
The truth is, they all end up very upset because they fail to realize the secret behind the success in Internet Marketing.
Having a website is not a guarantee that your online business will succeed. How will you succeed if people will not realize that your business exist online? The key to Internet marketing is to get your business noticed.
An effective way to do this is to build an opt-in list. In fact, most of the people who are already experts in Internet marketing will tell you that building a highly targeted opt in list is the most effective and important tool in Internet marketing.
Basically, an opt in list is a list of email addresses of people who have agreed to obtain any kind of information from online businesses like you. The term “opt in” means that you have their permission to send to them whatever newsletters, brochures, or promotions that you have in your online business.
It is extremely important that you have their permission first before you send them information because unsolicited emails will be regarded as spam, and spamming is an illegal activity in the Net.
Because of the feasibility of building an opt in list on Internet marketing, most of the online entrepreneurs consider it as the most treasured tool online. They need this list in order to get the consumer’s attention and sustain interest.
By creating an opt in list, you will be able to maintain solid contact with your previous buyers at the same time boost your sales because of the fact that you have a sure target market always ready to purchase items from you.
Opt in list is considered to be the most important item in an Internet marketer. In fact, if in case something bad happens like emergencies and catastrophes and they could only save one item, it would be their opt in list saved on a backup disk.
Just imagine how these people value their opt in list. If this is the case, then it must be really something, right?
So, for people who are not yet aware of the importance of building a highly targeted opt in list and would like to know how to build them, here are some tips that could be very useful.
1. Decide on your niche market or your target market.
It is extremely important to know your target market in order to focus on something. It would be really confusing and time consuming if you will build an opt in list with no particular market in mind.
Moreover, having a niche market would bring more focus on your marketing campaigns and would derive better results because you have direct you emails to people who would most likely be interested in them.
2. Be sure that your selected target market is available in the Internet.
The mere acquisition of a niche market is not a guarantee that you can already start building your opt in list. Since, the concept of opt in list is specifically generated to aid in the growth of the Internet market of a particular entrepreneur, it is important to have a niche market that is available through the Internet.
The concept is basically simple, how can you promote your online business if your niche market is not available in the Internet? Hence, it is extremely important to verify if your target market is available online.
3. Verify if your chosen target market is income-generating market.
Building a highly targeted opt in list will just go to waste if your niche market is not generating any income at all.
Try to verify their income-generating potential through the search engines, wherein you will find some paid ads related to the keywords you have searched. This would only mean that if somebody is willing to pay to advertise focusing on the same target market that you have in mind, chances are, you will be able to reap positive results on your target market.
4. Generate solutions to the problems of your target market by using Internet forum.
Creating this type of forum will initiate the underlying solutions that will answer to most of your target market’s problem.
Through their posts and threads, you will be able to identify your target market’s problem and will be able to come up with a great solution. In turn, it will be very handy when you make your opt in list.
Indeed, the success of an online business or Internet marketing greatly depends on the opt in list. It is where the online businesses could come up with newsletters that would allow them to promote their products at the same time create the need for it. In turn, it will generate more income and make more money.
As they say, money is in the list that’s why most businesses consider opt in list as valuable as gold.

Day by day the numbers joining the ranks of those working from home is increasing by leaps and bounds. Though working from home has several advantages and attractions, it has its challenges too. It is not a bed of roses as some presume it to be. When you work from home you will be quite surprised at the challenges that appear in the least expected places and circumstances. This can create disappointment and disillusionment in the minds of many a motivated and enthusiastic entrepreneur. It is better to be forewarned so that you are prepared to meet those challenges when you embark on your work from home career.
Disruption in Family Life:
Working from home will without doubt disrupt your family or domestic life in some form or other. Quite often, especially at the early stages, a room in the house occupied by some members of the family will have to be converted into a Home Office.
Your family members will have to get used to your working long hours, odder hours and probably working during week-ends and public holidays. Missing your presence during week-ends and public holidays will create a lot of disappointment and unhappiness among family members and close friends.
Distractions Hindering Work:
Domestic problems, interference from family members, phone calls from friends and relatives who would otherwise not ring you at your work place are major problems that will hinder your work when you work from home.
In addition to these, there are distractions from pets, watching television, shopping and doing household chores.
These sort of distractions can lead to loss of several working hours which could seriously affect productivity and profitability of your business from home.
Loneliness:
Working from home in home businesses such as Internet Marketing, Computer Programing, and Copy Writing can create a sense of loneliness. Sitting in front of the computer for several hours without any human contact can lead to loneliness and depression. This will be more noticeable in the case of people who are generally sociable, outgoing, friendly and enjoy the company of fellow workers and friends.
Insufficient Relaxation:
One challenge that stares you in the face day in and day out, is how well you could separate your domestic life from working life. Work will appear to be endless with little or no time for leisure when you work from home. In fact the boundary line that separates your domestic work from your home business work is often blurred. When you do an external job a clear line demarcates one from the other providing you the break to relax.
Lack of Motivation:
Most people need motivation or some sort of stimulation from their Boss or colleagues to work efficiently in their work places. When you work from home you are going to miss this. There will be no one to stimulate, encourage or even appreciate your work. You have to be self motivated to succeed and for such people working from home will be a great challenge.
Planning Restrictions and Objections:
Depending on the nature of your business from home, certain planning restriction may apply. More so if it is in a residential area. Your Landlord himself might raise objections if you are living in a rented home. This is a challenge that has to be met and a solution found before you commence work.
Conclusion:
"Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful",-Joshua J. Marine.
Life is full of challenges and they have to be faced where ever you are. Working from Home is no exception. It is always better to be prepared rather than be taken by surprise. Success comes only to those who dare to face and overcome them.

Joel Comm Is Dr. Adsense
Article Source: www.iSnare.com
What is Adsense?
If you are new to making money online and net marketing, you may not know what Adsense is, much less have heard of Joel Comm. Adsense is the "Ads by Google" that appear all over millions of webpages around the net. In the past, Adsense has proved itself to be very profitable, so much so that thousands of people set up websites purely in order to have Adsense on them. In turn, these "spam" sites created a big mess for the search engines and were "slapped" down by changes in the search-engine algorithms. Many of these "black hat" sites ceased to be profitable, while the "white hat" sites have largely endured, albeit many of them experiencing a decrease in income.
The individuals who put Adsense on their websites are called "publishers," one of the more successful of whom is Joel Comm. Comm has not only made a fortune publishing Adsense, but he has also written books on the subject that have become bestsellers online and off. Comm has also created a series of Adsense template websites for others to make money off Adsense. Because of these facts, Joel Comm is nicknamed "Dr. Adsense." One of Joel's books is called "What Google Never Told You About Making Money with Adsense," 199-page behemoth chockfull of techniques and tips. Comm leaves almost no stone unturned in this book, which was updated in 2006. In fact, this "Adsense Secrets" book is so thorough as to be a bit plodding, but there's no question Joel lays down a solid blueprint as to how you can create or increase your Adsense income.
Even with all the material laying the foundation for a shot at a solid Adsense income - or, possibly, much more than that - one gets the feeling that Comm is slyly holding back some secrets. One of the major things that Comm is good at is creating popular sites, and, as is the case with all business, the more customers or "traffic" you have, the more you will make. One thing is clear: You can no longer create a bunch of low quality sites purely for the purpose of sticking up some ads to make money. With the "Google Slap" directed specifically at that type of site, you will have difficulty getting enough traffic - and the advertisers are generally paying less for "content" sites in any case. Content sites are those published by people and companies other than search engines, as opposed to search-network sites such as Google and AOL, among others.
What Joel Comm outlines in "Making Money with Adsense" will take a while to implement, but it is not impossible to make money with Adsense, even with the developments and shakeups of 2006. If you want to just cut to the chase in making money with Adsense and learning it from one competent source, Joel Comm's book revealing Adsense secrets is one of the best places to start.

If you've ever set up a service-based business or are just starting to develop one based on the advice in Part 1 of this article, you probably know this:
=> Offering a service is a lot of work and can take up quite a bit of your time.
After all, there are only 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week. Not only do you have to spend the time working for your clients, you also do spend a lot of time in your business that you don't get paid for:
- Updating your website
- Gathering new clients
- Consulting with potential clients
- Bookkeeping
- Answering emails from non-clients
....and the list goes on.
Also remember, that if you are sick or can't fulfill your client's needs, you don't get paid. It's as simple as that.
You need to take all this into account when planning the growth of your business. Here are some tips to help you make the most of it:
1. Decide how much you want to earn and how many hours you want to dedicate each week.
Don't make the mistake of thinking that if you want to make $600 per week, you can simply work 40 hours per week at $15 per hour. Again, you have to realize that if you work on client-work for 40 hours per week there will be other maintenance parts of your business that will take you beyond 40 hours per week.
No one should have to work more than full-time hours for full-time pay. Instead, charge a bit more and incorporate your time working on other tasks into the calculations. For example, if you charge $20 per hour, you can have an extra 10 hours to work on non-client tasks and you'll still make $600 per week.
Quality people will pay quality rates for quality work. I promise!
2. Hire subcontractors.
There is no reason why you have to perform all your client's work. You can hire others to work for you to complete projects. Yes, you will have to hire them at a lower rate to ensure profit for your business, but if you pay a fair rate and treat your subcontractors well, you can acquire a loyal team of helpers.
This means you can take on more clients, can focus more of your time in gathering and maintaining clientele by making sure they receive exemplary service.
When you have more clients and potential clients to draw from, your business will likely have fewer fluctuations than if you try to do everything yourself.
3. Outsource other tasks.
Not only can you have subcontractors work on your client's work...you can hire others to complete other business tasks. Remember those website updates, bookkeeping and answering emails? Those are perfect tasks to hand over to an assistant.
Think of yourself as the manager of your company. The manager focuses on making sure things are running well and the business is growing. They don't worry about the small tasks like answering an email. They focus on the big picture. You need to look at the big picture too.
We all have hopes and dreams for ourselves and our families and I'm guessing working forever isn't one of yours. Putting these 3 simple suggestions into place will ensure that you are free to:
- Take a vacation
- Take a day off with your sick child...or just take a day off
PERIOD! :-)
- Retire some day.
Leverage the time and work of others and you’ll have more freedom in your service-based business.

If you are going to start a service-based business and want to get it going right away, I'd recommend the following:
1. Choose something where you likely have access to a client base.
For example, if you want to be a VA and already have a bunch of Internet business owners, you might have a pool of interested people. That doesn't mean you can't start from scratch in something that interests you, but realize it might take longer to get up and running.
2. Set up a website right away.
Even if it is a basic website that tells people why they need your service and a way to contact you, get that up right away. As a home business owner, you need to have an office where people can visit you. Your website is your office. You can tweak and improve it later.
3. Ask people for referrals.
If you know somebody might be in touch with your ideal client base, ask for referrals. Also, ask the clients you acquire for referrals. Satisfied clients are an amazing source of new clientele.
4. Do a great job, but don't overload yourself.
Remember, you are getting paid for the time you work with your clients, but a business has other obligations as well. You need to schedule time (or hire someone) for administrative tasks, marketing, etc.
The only thing to consider now is that if you start a service-based business, you've set yourself up with a JOB that you do from home. In part 2 of this article, you’ll find tips to turn your home job into a full-fledged business.
